Research

A brief history:

During Ph.D. training at Stanford, my interests centered around black holes. Then, while doing postdoctoral work at MIT and Duke, my research focus shifted to cracking the glass problem. I am currently a Research Scientist at FAIR at Meta, having fun with the physics of machine learning. {Prior to all that, I attended UCSB College of Creative Studies. [Meta-prior to that, I attended Keio Senior High School in Japan (speaking of which, in Japanese, my last name is spelled 八井田 and first name 翔).]}
